- Habits and repetition -

Guidance by Inger-Reidun Olsen (IRo) www.iroart.com

I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.

This time we will go further into practice of habits and add repetition and experience where that can bring us. It doesnt matter if you joined in before or not, or if you are a dancer, actor, musician, visual artist. Come to explore and share and do what ever you want.

" Are you doing what you want to do, or are you following your habits?... One way to approach your habits might be to try consciously to break them, or push them away. Another approach, however, might be to try to render them visible again, enough that the meanings and feelings are rediscovered and that has been taken for granted is cherished. ... The paradox is that when I accept that all I can do is the old ideas, the habits, then I relax and when I relax without thinking I do something new.
Maybe following our habits is the right thing to do?"

(Text from A Choreographers handbook by Jonathan Burrows )
